Your Bookshelf

The Bookshelf tab is your personal library — it contains books you have downloaded, are currently reading, or have marked as favorites.

Your bookshelf shows:

• Downloaded books — available for offline reading
• Currently reading — books with saved reading positions
• Favorites — books you have marked for quick access
• Recent — recently accessed books

Managing Books

Downloading Books

Book download in progress or completed download indicator

From any book detail page, tap Download to save the book to your device. Downloaded books:

• Are available offline (no internet connection needed)
• Appear on your Bookshelf tab
• Include all chapters and navigation data
• Can be deleted to free storage space

Reading Progress

Your reading position is automatically tracked for every book:

• Audio books — current chapter and time position
• Text books — current page number
• Braille books — current page position

Progress is synchronized across devices when connected to the internet.

Returning Books

Some library books have lending periods. When a book’s lending period expires:

• You will be notified
• The book is removed from your bookshelf
• You can borrow it again from the library

Deleting Downloads

To free storage space:

1. Navigate to the book on your bookshelf
2. Access the book’s options
3. Select Delete Download

This removes the downloaded file but preserves your reading position and bookmark data.

Bookshelf Accessibility

The bookshelf is fully navigable with VoiceOver:

• Each book is announced with title, author, and format
• Swipe to navigate between books
• Double-tap to open a book
• Actions (download, delete, favorite) are accessible through VoiceOver actions
